These Turks Head Braclets sure bring back memories of growing up in Newport, Rhode Island. I used to buy one each summer for six or seven years at the Chandlery on Bowen's Wharf or the Whaling Museum in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The Running Turk's Head knot is one of the most ancient of all decorative knots identified with the sailor. Itis also one of the most common and was adapted to many uses.
